Arvis Dionne is a Canadian Metis artist of Mi’kmaq descent. Her creative work focuses on Native American crafts, corn husk dolls, jewelry, Eastern Woodlands beadwork, and museum quality reproductions. Sources for Traditional design elements are obtained through historical research, archive photos, and inspirational creativity.
She studied Fine Arts at Silvermine College of Art in New Canaan, CT and her artwork has been exhibited and sold at Art Shows and Native American Cultural events throughout New England for the past twenty five years. Her corn husk dolls can be found at the Boston Children’s Museum and in many private collections.
Arvis has been active in the Native American community, and has dedicated her career to Social Services and children’s advocacy.
